Should remake this with Yua Shishiba.

So, chapter 102.5 came out and there a lot happened. First off, this entire volume was amazing. It turns out that Tsugiko isn't the villain I thought her to be and that she did this to "protect" Souko. I'm glad she's not a one-dimensional jerk motivated by greed. I almost feel bad for her, as she just wanted her sister to quit gambling. She wanted to protect her family and didn't see this outcome. Plus, it's pretty obvious what's going to happen with her playing against kid Yumeko. It's interesting to see how this leads to Auntie getting banished and Souko not recovering.
The twist was surprising for multiple reasons. Originally, I rather liked Aunt Jabami as she seemed to care for the sisters. Then it was revealed that she kept the family jewel and wanted to become head of the family. I could look past that little greed. Then Souko asked if she was responsible for her parent's death. Tsukigo's response was vague and combined with the flashbacks, I did not believe she was. Then a few chapters later, she straight up reveals that she is responsible, and I came to hate her. I thought was completely self-centered and then we got this reveal. Still, I do feel like Tsugiko should have known these high-end and intense gambling dens would do worse than "kick out" a cheater who happens to be extremely successful like her sister. I would like to think that Tsugiko had attempted to talk her sister off this path multiple times to no avail.
"Kirari is more or less doing her job while taking pleasure in the chaos by trying to awaken Yumeko." -panling69 on Reddit. Nuff said.
I'm still curious about Kabura and if she's a friend or foe. I hope she isn't a shallow "disaster-junkie" and has more depth like Kurumi. Possible hidden motives?
Plus, this chapter gave me another theory. Perhaps, Yumeko's mom (and dad, who got a face reveal this chapter) didn't die? While there is no hard evidence they were killed, all clues point to it. I mean look at Yumeko! How many life and death situations or impossible odds has she escaped. She could have figured out the whole swapped cards beforehand. Maybe she disappeared without forgiving her sister? I don't really believe in this theory, but it is interesting. Maybe she was expecting it to eventually disappear, s she instructed Tsugiko to hand Souko and Yumeko their rings as mementos in case something happened to them.
Anyway, half of the reason I made this post was because I had a prediction that with Souko being rendered unconscious, Yumeko would step up against Tsugiko. That's exactly what happened! This is awesome as she has been sidelined most of the arc and I'm curious to see how this goes (though I have a good idea).
Also, Kakegurui Twin ended! I have not been able to find the full raws (or summary) but from what I gathered; it ends with Tsuzura leaving the Academy to study abroad. Rather strange as it does not explain why Mary becomes a total heel at the start of the main series. Punishing and humiliating Ryota as a pet and trying to destroy Yumeko for no reason. It's almost as if she learned nothing from her series.
Now, this was actually another prediction of mine! The only reason I had this theory in the first place was because of chapter 62 of Twin when Nadeshiko brings it up as an attempt to get Tsuzura to leave Japan.
It was a great series and I look forward to reading the English release!
In Chapter 61 of Kakegurui Twin:
"Aoi tells Kirari that he’ll leave the academy. He admits that he was scared of her soon after she arrived. When Aoi pushed for Kirari to become president and formed Full-Bloom behind her back, it was because he was afraid of facing her head-on. Mary made Aoi realize his weakness. He says to Kirari that she’s amazing and that she has truly defeated him.
Kirari asks Aoi questions before he leaves. She asks who Mary Saotome is, as she doesn’t recognize that name. Aoi is shocked. He informs Kirari that he has fought against Mary during his call to action. He thinks that Kirari is playing dumb. Aoi reminds her that he’s leaving the school, so he won’t oppose her. Kirari then asks him what the Full-Bloom society is. Aoi is broken.
Sayaka reminds Kirari that Ouri challenged her to a public match a few days ago. It was part of the call to action. Kirari now understands that Aoi set up a group just to try to defy her. Aoi realizes that he didn’t want to defeat Kirari, he wanted her to look at him, but it never happened. Sayaka summarizes the situation. Aoi was no threat to Kirari. She didn't even see him as an enemy. So Kirari didn't defeat Aoi, there was never a battle in the first place. Sayaka isn’t sure if Kirari really didn’t know about Full-Bloom."
I believe that Kirari knew and was playing dumb. Nothing happens in Hyakkaou Private Academy without Kirari knowing. Whether it’s a new student or a whole prostitution ring, Kirari is aware. Even if she didn’t know the details, she wouldn’t be so dense. Even Sayaka knew (though I’m surprised she didn’t mention it earlier).
Five pages later
What really convinces me are these two panels.
Aoi refers to “Full Bloom.” This is supposedly Kirari’s first time hearing about it. However, a few panels later, Kirari refers to it as “the Full-Bloom Society.” Aoi never said it was a society and Kirari is supposedly quoting HIS words.
I will admit that this could simply be a translation error. But knowing Kirari's character, I doubt it is.
But this does raise another question. At this point in time, why didn't Kirari take an interest in Mary Saotome OR at least be familiar with her in the main series.
Everything that happened in the volume reminds me of this tweet.

I got tired towards the end and ended up using the summary from the wiki.
Aoi Mibuomi went through all five stages of grief during the end of his match with Mary (Kakegurui Twin, Volume 11).
After Mary reveals Aoi's fear for Kirari and explains how she beat him, Aoi refuses to flip his card.
Denial - Aoi denies it. He claims that the cards have already been played and that Mary's logic is ridiculous. Her strategy is just piling supposition on supposition and that even if everything went exactly how she wanted...
Anger - Aoi is now angry. He claims that it means she won by chances and that it all came down to luck. He tells her not to dirty the match with her bizarre logic...
Bargaining - Aoi now tries to bargain. At this point, he refuses to flip the card. and attempts to make a deal with her. He offers her 500 billion yen, not caring about money. Mary claims that she doesn't need it and Aoi tries a different offer. He tells her that he will make her the Student Council President and that when he graduates in a year, he will name her his successor. This would allow Mary to become a "winner." Mary still does not care. Aoi tries to get her to think rationally and to stop being stubborn. He then offers to apologize to Sakura, thinking back to how Mary was mad about it. He then admits that he lost…
At this point, Mary tells him to "just shut up and flip it." The crowd goes into a frenzy, telling him to flip it. Aoi is now paralyzed with fear, terrified. Ruri warns him that he's violating the rules by stalling. Aoi thinks to himself that no matter how often Mary lost, she always stood back up. Aoi was afraid to admit defeat. With Aoi violating the "no stalling" rule a second time, the Literary Club are declared the winners of "Conquer the Land.”
Depression - With Mary winning, the value of the card no longer matters. Sachiko rubs it in his face that he was so close to obtaining everything that he wanted, only to lose it all in the end. The short dialogue exchange between them leads to Aoi crying, admitting that he never had it in him to achieve this victory from the start. He envied, feared, and raged at those above him... looked up to them even though he could never reach them. In the midst of his funk, Sakura slaps him back to reality.
Acceptance - Aoi accepts his loss. Sakura is angry with Aoi because he used and betrayed the people who trusted him, only to be unable to flip the last card. Aoi tells Sakura that this is his weakness. Sakura explains that Aoi is too weak to carry that weakness by himself and that she wants him to show her his weaker side, causing Sakura to cry. Aoi realized that if he had shown Sakura his weakness, then he might have been able to win this game, which would have permitted him to live his life with her. Aoi apologizes to Sakura and leaves the room.
Maybe unspoken rules.
But even then, Midari (and by extension Kirari) wasn't mad that Nana was forcing Ayame to pay her debt back, but was mad that she was running a prostitution ring from the school.
The students themselves stolen from and abused, and have even been threatened with rape, murder, and violence. It's really crazy when you think about it,
Funny. I stopped at that exact page when I came to the wiki.
Let's go!
