Amane Murasame (村雨 天音, Murasame Amane) is a new character introduced in the light novel Kakegurui Joker who has an important role in the live-action movie. He is the leader of a group known as the Village (ヴィレッジ) that opposes gambling and the housepet system in the school.

He is played by Hio Miyazawa.

Appearance[]

Amane has a scar on the right side of his face that he got when he tried to stop his sister from killing herself. He is dressed in all-black, wearing clerical clothes. In Kakegurui Joker, he wears a housepet tag around his neck. He doesn't seem to wear it anymore, though. He also has longer hair in the novel, keeping it up.

Personality[]

Amane is, on the whole, serious and calm, with an enormous grandeur outside and inside the Village. He is highly against betting and refused to do so at any cost, claiming that betting didn't save anyone. However, when he did so for the purpose of saving Village and its members, he proved to be very strategic and intelligent, described as a monster by Mary Saotome. Amane has a huge aversion to the Student Guild , especially Kirari Momobami, and because of the events surrounding her sister, she didn't want anyone to know that he was able to beat her on a bet.

Even though Yumeko Jabami described him as a coward who had no real desire to save Village but her sister, Amane still has a gentle and even amusing demeanor. Even after learning of Jueri Arukibi's betrayal and his true intentions, it is more likely that he has forgiven, but not exactly tolerated, her actions. Before leaving school, he fulfilled Yumeko's request for delicious desserts with his blank life plan he received after winning the Approval Competitive Game.

Profile[]

Kakegurui Joker[]

The plot is the same as the movie, although there are minor differences. Jueri Arukibi and Amane play against Kirari Momobami together at the beginning and are defeated.

Kakegurui Drama: Season Two[]

Amane most likely sent Jueri Arukibi to recruit Mary Saotome since she also clearly despises the housepet system. Mary is somewhat reluctant to join them as they appear almost cult-like to her. Then, Amane appears and Mary is immediately impressed by his show of confidence.

Kakegurui The Movie[]

Amane opposes the Student Council with his group Village and wants to help housepets. He believes gambling can't save anyone.

In the past, Tsukimi Murasame (Amane's older sister) who also attended Hyakkaou Private Academy, became a housepet and Amane challenged Kirari Momobami to a gamble to erase her debt. He won her life plan back, but Tsukimi took her life by jumping off a high place. Amane tried to stop her and jumped with her, but only he survived. His scar is a memento of that day.

He participates in the tournament held by the Student Council and reaches the final match with Jueri Arukibi.

Quotes[]

  • (To Village members ) "Stay seated. Please listen to my voice. Can you hear me? That's the sound of your voices. Even if they're quiet... Your voices will reach me. Your voices will definitely reach mine. ears. I... want to save them."
  • (To Village members) " I can't bet. Bets won't save anything."
  • (In response to Jueri Arukibi, Tomu Inuhachi and the Village members) "The president of the Student Guild is unmistakably a monster. He who can defeat a monster is... the same kind of monster. Even if the monster is defeated... .we will remain monsters. A monster will definitely hurt someone. That's why I threw the bets away. I can't bet."

Etymology[]

  • The name Amane (2) means "heaven/heavenly, sky, imperial" (天) (ama) and "sound" (音) (ne).
  • Amane's surname Murasame means "passing showers" (村雨).
    • It can also mean "town, village" (村) (mura) and "rain" (雨) (same) separately.
