Changing Girl is the fiftieth chapter of Kakegurui written by Homura Kawamoto and illustrated by Toru Naomura.

Summary

We view an insight to what Yumemi Yumemite is planning for this Election, until her hopes are shattered when an unsuspected character emerges from the shadows.

Plot

In her dressing room, Yumemi Yumemite is talking about her latest photo shoot with Saori. Saori urges her not to do this shoot, because it involves swimsuit pictures, which will ruin the "pure" image of Yumemi. Yumemi refuses and does the shoot. When she receives the magazine, Yumemi says that this will elevate her claim to fame. Midari Ikishima interrupts them on Student Council business. She notices the magazine and tells Yumemi that she looks good in it, but she asks her if she's ok with doing stuff like that. Midari comments that if Yumemi was going for an academy award, she shouldn't have been a pop idol, and that modern actresses were recognized purely on their acting talent. Yumemi says that this is just her way of caring, and Midari insists that they get to work. After their meeting, Yumemi throws a tantrum, and says that she needs more votes if she wants a chance to win The Election. She says that to do this she either needs new fans or will have to start gambling.

Elsewhere, Kirari Momobami, Sumika Warakubami, and Rin Obami are playing Poker, with Rin in the current lead. Kirari says that they are both a talented pair of liars, and proceeds to continually go all in. After a little bit, Rin notices that Kirari is trying to make them gamble for their lives, so Rin and Sumika bow out. Once they are alone, Rin begins to laugh because of the face Kirari made when they bowed out. Sumika points out that it's Kirari's thirst that drives her in gambles. Since they know more about Kirari now, they choose to check out "the other one." In her classroom, Yumeko Jabami is talking with Ryota Suzui and Itsuki Sumeragi. Ryota asks Itsuki what she plans to do with Kaede Manyuda's life plan, to which she tells him that that's for him to decide. Yumemi then shows up and hugs Yumeko, asking Yumeko for a favor. Yumemi says that she wants to form a pop idol group with Yumeko, but just for a one-day in-school concert in which they'll gamble with the audience and split the winnings. Before she can answer, Kawaru Natari enters the room and draws a huge crowd of people. Yumemi immediately recognizes her as Kawaru Natari, a Japanese Hollywood actress.
