Chitose's true ambition

Chitose is a very friendly girl who blushes easily. Seemingly she truly desires love, although it may be only part of the role she plays to avoid looking suspicious. She actually has big dreams and wants to win and get crazy rich, no matter what consequences her cheating will have on other students.

She shows to be very selfish and greedy, feeling no remorse even when she's well aware that Mary Saotome, Tsuzura Hanatemari, and Yukimi Togakushi may end up having to spend the night with the guys if they lose. She believes she's in her prime at Hyakkaou and admits she has been raised like a princess[1]. Chitose thinks the smarter students pick up that winning at gambling comes down to cheating.

Chitose fantasizing of love

Chitose fantasizing of love

Chitose takes part in the couple gambling along with Mary Saotome, introducing herself to the girls of her group as a third-year student who is already been to the same type of events in the past. However, she had no luck and couldn't find a boyfriend. She puts emphasis on the fact she's looking for a relationship and shows disappointment when Mary says she's only after money (while Kurumi Kurume states she has no preference). She seems to be boy-crazy and praises Mamoru Kuonji's good looks, saying she likes guys wearing glasses.

Most of this however, is only a façade to hide the fact she's in cahoots with the boys. During the first round, she tampers with the order the girls have to "confess their love" to help the boys winning, while before the second round she directly shares the information Mary tells her group to them. Her strategy is exposed thanks to Mary's intelligence, ruining their plan in front of everyone and she is embarrassed, but she is also angry at them for ruining her dream.

During a game of Craps, Chitose makes a roll that makes all players win. Her next roll is "Craps," which makes everyone lose. Gamblers thus complain to her. She responds that she can’t do anything about it. She apologizes and says that the rolls are random after all. Shougou, who has been hunting dens for cheaters, grabs her hand. She has been swapping dice. These always land on twelve. Chitose panics as the students realize this. She defends herself by saying that she wouldn’t cheat to make herself lose, like earlier. Shougou adds that Chitose is working with the dealer. In craps, when players lose, the dealer wins. Chitose can’t believe Shougou figured out so much. Mikoto reminds her that she has to pay back the money she stole from cheating as well as buy the students’ silence. Mikoto explains that if Chitose doesn’t pay and the student council hears about it, they'll punish her. No one will help Chitose, as she'll be known as a cheater forever. Chitose will definitely become a housepet in that case. She still refuses, saying she can’t pay back all that. Mikoto presses her to say whether or not she will. Chitose bursts into tears.
