Full Count Blackjack (フルカウントブラックジャック) is a gamble in the Kakegurui Twin manga played between Mary Saotome and Nagi Kamishimo, and supervised by Sachiko Juraku and Mikura Sado.

Rules[]

The rules are explained by Sachiko. First, you set up your hands. You'll use all thirteen cards in a suit. Using this full set of cards, you'll create five hands of two to three cards. These hands follow Blackjack rules- the closer they come to twenty-one, the better. Aces can be one or eleven, and face cards are ten. An ace and a ten or face card form a natural blackjack, the strongest hand. Once you finish setting up, it's time to play. You'll put your hands against each other in any order you like. This is the 'showdown'. With each showdown, you'll place bets. Each person starts with five chips. You must bet at least one chip per turn. You can bet one chip and fold, or you can bet more to make your opponent fold. If one side folds, there's no need for either player to reveal their cards. After five of these showdowns, whoever has more chips is the winner.

Game[]

Both players have three minutes to form their hands. During this phase, Sakura Miharutaki, Yukimi Togakushi, Tsuzura Hanatemari, Soutarou Ibuki, and Kurumi Kurume all leave the room to avoid cheating. After the phase, everyone re-enters the room and the game begins.

Mary starts by betting one chip, Nagi raises three additional chips, Mary calls. The showdown commences. Mary's hand is a queen of diamonds, 8 of diamonds, and a 3 of diamonds, making a 21. Nagi's hand is a jack of clubs, 7 of clubs, and 4 of clubs, making a 21. The round ends in a draw.

Round two begins. Nagi bets one chip, Mary raises one chip, Nagi goes all in, and Mary folds. Nagi is awarded two chips. Mary has three chips, and Nagi has seven chips.

Round three begins. Mary bets one chip and Nagi folds.

Round four begins. Nagi goes all in and Mary calls. They both reveal natural blackjacks, and the round ends in a draw.

Round five, the final round, begins. Mary goes all in and Nagi calls. Mary reveals a jack of diamonds, ten of diamonds, and an empty card. Nagi reveals a queen of clubs, 6 of clubs, and 3 of clubs. Mary is awarded four chips. Mary now has all the chips.

The game ends in Mary's victory.

Fun facts[]

  • During Sachiko's explaining of the rules in the novel, there is a spelling error! They simply spell 'put' as 'pit'.
