Itsuki Sumeragi to Kaede Manyuda

Image Change! Kingship Battle is the 17th chapter of Kakegurui Yorozu, written and illustrated by Moto Shigemura.

Summary[]

Itsuki tells Kaede that it's normal to get your nails done nowadays and that everyone does it. Kaede explains that when you're on top, representing the students, you have to look good. He adds that if you've decided that you want to become king, you should always keep yourself properly groomed. Itsuki finds Kaede to be hard. She suggests to Kaede that they gamble to do each other’s appearances. Kirari, who has become small, calls them out. She finds this interesting and wants to be the referee. The winner can do the loser’s look as they wish. They’ll play Jenga. Kaede believes that it’s a game that looks like it's for children, but requires a lot of brainpower. As they keep removing blocks, Itsuki isn’t confident that she can win if she keeps going like this. She tries to distract Kaede during his turn. Kaede is certain that he’ll win.

The tower falls, as Kaede takes out the next block. Itsuki thus wins the game. She changes Kaede’s look. Sayaka, Kirari, and her are impressed. Kaede doesn’t like it. Itsuki wants Kaede to stay like this from now on. Yumemi enters the room and finds that Kaede looks fresh. Itsuki puts a wig and different glasses on Kaede. Runa enters the room and is surprised to see Kaede. She hugs Kaede. He tells her to stop. Runa wants a wig like this too. Kaede throws his wig and glasses and says they're useless. Itsuki wants Kaede to return to normal. She’s fine with this version of Kaede.

Plot[]
