Improvised Chinchiro is a is a gamble in the Kakegurui Midari manga. It is proposed by Midari Ikishima when she and Yuriko Nishinotouin are arguing over the ownership of an alleged yohen tenmoku, a very precious and rare tea bowl.
Rules[]
While chinchiro is normally played inside a bowl, for this game the bowl was placed upside down on the table instead. Each player has three dice and rolls them one by one (Midari uses black dice, Yuriko the white ones). The player whose total score is the highest is the winner. However, if one's die falls off the bowl its point is considered zero. It is allowed to use your own dice to get rid of your opponent's, destroying their score.
Game[]
Yuriko visits Midari upon her request. Midari recently required a tea bowl from a gamble, and she would like Yuriko to examine it. Yuriko believes that this is a highest quality Tenmoku tea bowl, or at least a replica of it. She can't tell if it is a replica, which is worth 10,000 yen, or a actual artifact, which is priceless. Midari proposes a gamble where the winner gets to do what they want with the bowl. The game proposed is Improvised Chinchiro, to which Yuriko agrees to these terms.
Yuriko throws her first die, and it lands on 5. Midari throws her first die, hits Yuriko's 5 out, and lands on 2. Yuriko throws her second die, and it lands on an unknown number (most likely 3). Midari throws her second die, hits Yuriko's die out, and lands on 6. Yuriko throws her third die, and misses the bowl. Midari throws her third die, and lands on 1. Yuriko loses 9-0.
Yuriko refuses to accept these results, and demands a rematch. The added bet is Yuriko's beautiful hair, in which Midari accepts. The rematch begins. Yuriko throws her first die, and lands on 4. Midari throws her first die, hits Yuriko's 4 out, and lands on 3. Yuriko throws her second die, and lands on 4. Midari throws her second die, hits Yuriko's 4 out, and lands on 2. Yuriko throws her third die, and lands on 6. Midari throws her first die, attempts to hit Yuriko's 6 out, but she misses and lands outside the bowl. Midari loses 6-5, and Yuriko acquires the possession of the tea bowl.
