Inviting Girl is the tenth chapter of Kakegurui written by Homura Kawamoto and illustrated by Toru Naomura.

Summary

Even though Mary Saotome and Yumeko Jabami won the debt settlement party, only Mary pays off her debt. Yumeko is planning to take on the Student Council president, and almost does until she is stopped by Midari Ikishima, and meanwhile Mary is asked to join the Student Council.

Plot

After the big debt settlement party, Mary Saotome has paid off her debt fully. Her old friends, Anzu, Midori, and Aruka, who bullied her for being a Housepet, try to talk to her and be friends again. Mary says that it is all ok, since the school's rules include bullying housepets. Ryota Suzui, however, sees this and confronts Mary about it. Mary tells him that it's just the rules and that they're a bunch of idiots. She also says that she wants to get back at the Student Council for what they put her through. Yumeko Jabami then enters and Mary tells her that the 250 million yen left from the debt settlement party is in her locker for her. Yumeko, even though she can, she refuses to pay off her debt so that she can use her public match. Mary then sends Yumeko to get her some melon bread and tea, and she leaves. Mary then grabs Ryota and asks him if he's heard anything from Yumeko about the public match, saying it's half-suicidal to take on a student council member. Ryota tells her that the only mention of it is that she wants to take on the Student Council President.

Meanwhile, Sayaka Igarashi holds a Student Council meeting to discuss Yumeko. She says that the president has decided not to withdraw her Life plan and that they will not be sending anyone to collect her money, even though she won the debt settlement party. Sayaka has also conducted a background search on Yumeko: she currently lives alone, her parents have passed away, her only other relative is her elder sister, who is hospitalized in a special ward at a university hospital, Yumeko pays all the costs herself, and if she doesn't have other assets, there is no other way she could afford that. Yuriko Nishinotouin wonders why she isn't paying off her debt, and Runa Yomozuki responds that she is obviously seeking a public match. Midari Ikishima, thinking that Yumeko will be destroyed by the president, chases after Yumeko.

After their class is over, Yumeko and Ryota go to engage in a public match with Kirari. But Mary, as she is heading home, runs into Kirari, who is hoping to talk with her. Yumeko and Ryota, instead of having Yumeko's public match, run into Midari and are detained and blindfolded by the Beautification Council who take them to the Beautification Committee Special Hearing Room. Once the blindfolds and handcuffs are removed from Yumeko, she immediately tells Midari that she has plans, but Midari refuses to let her go. Midari instead proposes a gamble with Yumeko, who accepts. Meanwhile, Ryota has his handcuffs and blindfolds removed by Yumeko. Midari then explains that they will be playing the ESP Game to Yumeko.

Somewhere else, Mary and Kirari are having tea. Kirari explains that scraping Mary's Life plan was a huge loss for the Student Council, but she admires her personality and invites her to join the Student Council.
