Speed President, also known as Speed Daifugou (時短大富豪) in the Japanese manga, is a game from Kakegurui Twin. It was the first game Mary Saotome played at Hyakkaou Private Academy and she was invited to play by Kokoro Aiura.
Rules[]
The rules are quite similair to regular Daifugo but there are some differences. Each player only gets five cards and cards can only be put down seperately and not in pairs. The goal is to get rid of all their cards before the other person. The player who starts puts down one of their cards. The other player now has to lay down a card stronger than the other one. The rankings are from strongest to weakest: Joker, 2, Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3. However a special rule is that a 3 can beat the joker, but only the joker. If one player can't continue they pass and all cards are cleared. The other player can then again put a card down.
The loser from one round becomes the peasant in the next round and the winner is the noble. At the beginning the noble always receives the strongest card and switches it with their weakest card. But the peasant always gets to go first and their winnings are doubled.
Cheating[]
This game only had one example of cheating.
Peeking at an opponents hand via inferred ink. This cheat was used by Kokoro Aiura and an unnamed accomplice. Each card back was printed with a unique pattern with inferred ink. Though invisible to the naked eye, the backs can be read with a device that can detect inferred, like a phone camera. After using her camera to read the cards that were in Mary's hand, the accomplice would then signal the cards to Aiura.

Round 1[]
Prologue[]
As Mary was new to Hyakkao and didn't know how gambling worked, Kokoro invited her to play games with her and help her get used to the school's system.
Game[]
They start playing, Mary getting used to how the game works. When her chance comes, she plays her joker, certain that she would win, but didn't expect Kokoro to have a three in her hand, making her win the round. As Kokoro encouraged her to play more, she declined, but agreed to play when she claimed she would lend him some money. They played more and time passed until Kokoro regretted that she was two hundred thousand yen in debt.
Result[]
Mary is humiliated by Kokoro and the people who were with her; she made her fall out of her chair and ordered her to lick her shoes, claiming it would make her her personal pet, which theoretically would be better than being tormented by all the students. Annoyed, Mary got up and left, laughing at Kokoro and the others.
Round 2[]
Prologue[]
With the help of Tsuzura Hanatemari, Mary managed to get five hundred thousand yen to bet with Kokoro again. She challenged her and Kokoro accepted with laughter, sure that she would win.
Game[]
They sat together at the table and Kokoro warned her that she wouldn't bet with her anymore, but would help her if she became her personal pet. Receiving no response, she just started shuffling the cards but Mary asked her to shuffle the cards herself. As soon as they each took their cards, Kokoro suggested twenty thousand yen, but the other preferred ten thousand.
Kokoro won the first game, then they played the second, again she won, they played several games and Kokoro won them all and provoked Mary. The latter, however, angrily said that she was cheating using some brand of cards; against this accusation, Kokoro only laughed and encouraged her to look at the cards to confirm her theory. She teased her again and urged her to play again.
In fact, Kokoro was, in fact, cheating by using marks on the cards that can be seen by a cell phone camera; with the help of her peers, she is able to know all of Mary's cards and have an advantage against her. Playing again, they both exchange cards and Kokoro notices the joker and the other good cards she has in her hand, confident that she could finish it all at once.
Mary calls Tsuzura and entrusts her with her "trump card". Someone quickly looks at the cards Mary and Tsuzura were holding and Kokoro immediately thought that she would be planning to make her use her joker then defeat her with the three in Tsuzura's hand and maleficently thought it would crush her last threads of hope. She asked how much they would bet and was even more certain when Mary replied that it would be three hundred thousand yen.
Warning her that if she lost that game, she would become a pet, and when they were both ready, they started to play. While she was already certain of her victory, she thought about how she would use Mary, until she said something about being a dangerous gamble; Kokoro asked her to stop talking nonsense and play. She agreed, showing that she was hiding a card, a joker, and claiming that she had won the bet, much to Kokoro's surprise.
Mary runs off and is desperate. But Tsuzura lends her money so she can get back up again. So Mary returns to play again. She loses the first round and becomes a peasant on purpose. After their cards are dealt, she gives one to Tsuzura and tells her to keep it safe and that it's her trump card. Kokoro uses her cheat and sees what it is. Mary decides to bet 30'000 Yen. Kokoro gladly accepts since she's sure to win. But then Mary reveals that her "trump card" was just a random leftover card she handed Tsuzura and finished before Kokoro. She is furious, but Mary leaves with the money, having outsmarted her.
Result[]
Mary won that round, but Kokoro asked about the three and she called her stupid, explaining that the three was just one card from the discard pile, that is, it had already been used. Still, she had won with that three, so somehow it really was her "trump card". When Kokoro claimed it was cheating, Mary said it wasn't cheating to hold an already used card, it wouldn't affect the game unless someone was reading her cards, revealing that she knew Kokoro's trick to always win.
She explained her strategy and Kokoro yelled that she could have lost with such a slim chance of her plan working, that she shouldn't be so convinced being that she was just lucky. Mary, however, teased her that bets were precisely based on luck, rushing her so she could pay it off in one go, getting two hundred thousand yen for the difference.
Kokoro said she would make sure that a girl like her, who is happy with a mere two hundred thousand yen, becomes a pet. Mary teased her by saying that she would never lose to an idiot like her again. Ignoring his protests, she called Tsuzura so they could leave and split half of it for her, being happy with a hundred thousand yen from her share.
