Squirming Girls is the forty-fourth chapter of Kakegurui written by Homura Kawamoto and illustrated by Toru Naomura.

Summary

After the current leaderboard of The Election is announced, everyone begins to handle things differently, and forerunners begin to take on other forerunners.

Plot

The Election Committee has totaled up the interim results for The Election, and Runa Yomozuki announces it to the school. 10th place: Yumeko Jabami, 9th place: Horo Jomaru, 8th place: Miroslava Honebami, 7th place: Miyo Inbami, 6th place: Itsuki Sumeragi, 5th place: Rin Obami, 4th place: Mary Saotome, 3rd place: Yumemi Yumemite, 2nd place: Terano Totobami, and 1st place: Kirari Momobami. Back in their classroom, other classmates are all talking to Mary while Ryota Suzui realizes that Miri Yobami is out of the Election, and Miyo was ready to abandon her. He tells Yumeko that Yumemi gained all her votes from her fans, and he tells her that he's starting to pick up on a few things about this Election. He says it's possible to sell or hand over votes, and that to win you have to understand how the Election works. Yumeko says that this is exactly what Kirari would want. In game room eight, Horo is talking on Kirari, but easily loses. Kirari asks if there's anyone seriously looking to take her down, and Rin challenges her, with Sumika Warakubami also playing. Elsewhere in the nurse's office, Itsuki is looking after Kaede Manyuda.
