The Effusing Girl is the twenty-seventh chapter of Kakegurui written by Homura Kawamoto and illustrated by Toru Naomura.

Summary

The game of Choice Poker comes to a close, with Yumeko Jabami being the winner.

Plot

Before the cards are revealed, Itsuki Sumeragi breaks down crying, saying that this can't be. Kirari Momobami then says that it's time for the showdown, and the players lay down their cards. Kaede Manyuda reveals his three of a kind with eights. Yumeko Jabami asks Kaede if he thought she was just bankrolling Itsuki, and she tells him that Itsuki is every bit the gambler that she is. Yumeko reveals her cards, telling him that these should offer as Itsuki's separation papers, and reveals her three of a kind with jacks, beating Kaede. Yumeko is the winner of the game. Itsuki asks Kaede if he is ok, but she tells him that he's pathetic. Kirari interrupts, telling Kaede that he fought well, but he is fired from the Student Council, making his hair turn pure white and causing him to pass out. Kirari then tells him nice work, and medics come to take him away.

Then Mary Saotome and Ryota Suzui enter the stage and tells Itsuki and Yumeko good job. But Yumeko and Kirari are talking. Yumeko tells Kirari that she wants to see herself burning bright and then fading away, and Kirari responds that Yumeko is truly fascinating to her. Sayaka Igarashi then slams down on the table and tells Yumeko not to mess with them.

Elsewhere, Runa Yomozuki is calling someone about the gamble, who is then revealed to be the real Vice-President, Ririka Momobami.
