The Forcing Girl is the 86th chapter of Kakegurui written by Homura Kawamoto and illustrated by Toru Naomura. It’s in the 15th volume.
Summary[]
Yumeko refuses to gamble. Kirari, Mary, and Ririka begin their match of Change Poker, in which all of their votes will be at risk.
Plot[]
Before the gamble starts, Mary promises to Ririka that she'll win. Ryota believes that Yumeko is disheartened because Kirari didn’t want to gamble with her. ‘’’Kirari didn't want Yumeko to join the gamble in chapter 84, saying that she has business to handle with Ririka.‘’’ He meets Yumeko, who seems calm, in a classroom. Yumeko makes it clear that she’ll never gamble again in the election. Housepets try to convince Yumeko to gamble with them, and she declines. Ryota wonders what happened to Yumeko.
Runa explains the rules of Change Poker. It’s played with a 52 card deck. One player serves as the dealer which rotates clockwise every round. Everyone is dealt five cards. In change poker, instead of getting new cards from the deck, the dealer forces the other players to trade them first. The dealer puts the cards they want to trade face down. They can ask for a specific suit or number. The players, in clockwise order, are forced to trade any of their matching cards with what's on the table. If there are no matches, or not enough, the dealer fills their hand from the deck. Then, the bets go like they do in normal poker. The ante is set at ten votes per turn. Then there is a showdown. The players must obey the dealer, they're not allowed to freely trade cards.
The game will only end when two of the three players are out of votes. Mary has 250 votes, Ririka has 166, and Kirari has 578. Mary is the dealer in the first turn. Mary trades two cards. She picked aces. Ririka didn't have any. Kirari had one. Mary drew her second card from the deck. Mary bet fifty votes, but both Kirari and Ririka folded. Ririka is the dealer in the second turn. There is a flashback about Mary and Ririka conversing about signals they should use during the game. Ririka refused to use signals because Kirari might pick up on them.
Mary didn't want a trade, and is thinking that they should have come up with signals. Ririka managed to read Mary and didn't trade. Ririka bet ten votes. Mary rose to thirty. Kirari rose to fifty. Mary then rose to a hundred votes. Kirari called. Mary is shocked by this decision. Kirari asks Mary if she knows what the weakest poker hand is. Kirari says that it isn't "no hand" because you'd just fold then. According to her, the answer is the second best hand at the table.
They have a showdown. Mary wins with a flush against Kirari who had nothing. Mary received a hundred votes, but was totally fooled by Kirari. Kirari was measuring Mary. Kirari declares that the game has just started.
