The Gnawing Girl is the sixty-fifth chapter of Kakegurui written by Homura Kawamoto and illustrated by Toru Naomura.

Summary

The first round of the Grand Tournament begins, and Yumeko Jabami quickly beats Erimi Mushibami.

Plot

As Kurara Kurokura sets up the first round, Erimi Mushibami mentally deducts that Sumika Warakubami gave her her votes because she trusts her with them, meaning that she must win (in a side panel Sumika says that she gave them to her because she's cute and it's more fun that way). Erimi starts with 23 votes and Yumeko starts with 62. The first round then begins. In the exchange, Yumeko Jabami discards two rocks and Erimi discards a scissor. After observing Yumeko discard her two rocks, she plays scissors. Yumeko plays her card, and the betting begins. Yumeko bets ten votes as the blind, and Erimi calls. Yumeko reveals she played rock, beating Erimi's scissors. The second turn begins. Erimi discards a scissor again and Yumeko discards two rocks again. They both play their cards, and the betting begins. Yumeko goes all in and Erimi calls. The showdown begins. After both playing scissors, Erimi reveals her scissors three of a kind, but is beaten by Yumeko's scissors five of a kind. Yumeko is declared victorious of the first round.
