Summary[]

As Mary plays the king, the game ends with Sachiko being in first place, Mary in second, and Yua in third. Mary played it despite being aware that it’d put an end to the game without her being in first place. She's satisfied with defeating Yua. Sachiko is up 120 million yen in the balance, Mary is exactly at zero, and Yua owes Sachiko the 120 million. The middle schooler trio is devastated. Tsuzura is shocked as well. She asks Mary if that’s really the path to becoming a winner. Mary responds that they didn’t lose. Tsuzura explains that having seen the gamble, it’s obvious to her that Mary and Sachiko stand leagues above Yua. She asserts that becoming a winner isn’t about defeating someone weak, but it’s about challenging someone strong. Tsuzura cries and realizes that their conceptions of what a winner is diverge. She recognizes that Mary still has been her inspiration. That’s why she’ll try to become a winner her own way. Tsuzura challenges Sachiko for 120 million yen.
