Yumeko Jabami to Kabura Tsuibami

The Pecking Girl is the 105th chapter of Kakegurui, written by Homura Kawamoto and illustrated by Toru Naomura.

Summary[]

Yumeko earns 8 billion yen from defeating her aunt. She now feels lonely. Yumeko asks Kirari to hand her the Snake-Eye Stone, as she knows Tsugiko valued it. Yumeko doesn't even mind giving Kirari the money back. Kabura walks up to her and reveals that she was the one who lent Tsugiko the 8 billion yen. Yumeko asks Kabura to give her the Snake-Eye Stone in exchange for the cash. Kabura requests the money plus a 10% interest rate. Yumeko explains that she doesn't have an extra 800 million yen. Kabura suggests she bet the Snake-Eye Stone on a dice game, while Yumeko bets herself.

Tsugiko pleads with Yumeko to decline the offer. She doesn't want the Snake-Eye Stone anymore; she just wants Yumeko's safety. Kabura explains that Yumeko was jealous of Souko and Tsugiko betting on things they never wanted to lose. Tsugiko has a breakdown. Kabura tells Yumeko that she is the same as her. People didn't understand her, so she was lonely. She convinces Yumeko that she can help her with those feelings and that they should gamble. Yumeko cries with happiness and accepts the game.

Plot[]

Souko wakes up. Kabura meets her and says she's got control of Yumeko and will become her guardian from now on. Souko becomes shocked, and Kabura adds that she won't let Souko see Yumeko again and her presence is a bad influence. She explains that from the start, Yumeko was broken, regardless of her Jabami blood. Souko replies that there's nothing broken about her sister. As Kabura walks out, she tells Souko to bring her eight billion yen if she wants to speak with her. She asks Souko to give up. Souko breaks into tears and begs Kabura to let her see Yumeko.
