The Peeping Girl is the 31st chapter of Kakegurui Twin, written by Homura Kawamoto and illustrated by Kei Saiki.
Summary[]
Inaho explains the rules of the gamble they’ll be playing. Yukimi is fine with the game until Inaho points out that they’ll have to strip. Eneru justifies going this far by saying that it’ll give her money, since there are freaks who’d pay any price to see their classmates all risqué.
Yukimi genuinely isn't willing to play this game. Eneru responds that she will run the Literary Club starting tomorrow and fire them on the spot. Yukimi finds this totally messed up. She wonders why trouble always comes knocking on their door, as she thinks about Aoi, Juraku, and Eneru. Yukimi believes that things used to be peaceful in the Literary Club and it wasn't popular. It was her little hiding place. Mary changed everything. Tsuzura accepts to play the game as model, shocking Yukimi. She adds a condition: All the pictures and videos they take will become the winner's property. Yukimi tries to convince Tsuzura not to play, but Tsuzura points out that it was she who said they needed to be efficient. They thus need their gambling room.
Yukimi doesn't believe their room's worth the risk, since Juraku can seize it anytime she wants. The guarantee only lasts one week. Tsuzura explains that the timing of Eneru's arrival can't be a coincidence. Full-Bloom is trying to rub them out for festival related reasons. She thinks if they can hold out, there's a good chance Full-Bloom might not need them once the festival is over. Yukimi accepts the gamble, but wants to play as model instead of Tsuzura. Meanwhile, Mary passes up on a gamble Kurumi found despite the jackpot prize being one billion. Mary calculated that the odds display that it’s a total rip-off.
Mary doesn't find a good den anywhere. To solve this, she suggests they go for player vs player games. Kurumi talks to Mary about a bookmaker who doesn't care about money. Mary believes that they'd just make them bet on something way more valuable. Kurumi explains that he Student Council's job is to make the event far more exciting, and they have tons of cash to do so.
Tsuzura and Yukimi receive their tablets to perform actions during the game. Inaho emphasizes that it's impossible to cheat with tablets at this point in time. The game begins.
Plot[]
Yukimi hears the gamble’s name. To her, it sounds like Eneru is just fooling around. Eneru says that she’s serious about this. Tsuzura didn’t know what Baseball Fist was. Yukimi explains to her the game: It's a game of rock paper scissors in which the loser takes off a piece of clothing. You lose the game if you give up or end up totally nude. Tsuzura then asks how it is related to baseball. Yukimi didn’t know either. Inaho explains the rules of the gamble they’ll be playing.
Rules[]
The game is played by two teams - each team is composed of a "model" and a "photographer". The models have to navigate inside a maze-like structure, while the photographers control the cameras. Every player is given a tablet they use in the game, each one according to their own role. The tablets have been inspected by Inaho, who guarantees they were not tampered with in any way.
First, each team arranges its own maze (or "home") however they prefer. Each home has five cells (rooms) where the models can move; any composition is allowed as long as the living room is the central cell. Models can only use doors to move from a cell to another (which means climbing a wall is forbidden). The placement of each door is chosen by every team, too; unused doors will be permanently locked during the game.
Starting from the entrance, a model rolls a die on her tablet and navigates the maze according to it. The outcome of the die is revealed to each player. Models can't go back to the same cell they just moved from. Most importantly, during each turn models have to take off a piece of clothing before rolling the die. After a model's turn, the photographer from the other team has to activate a camera in one of the rooms. If a camera is activated in the same room where the model is currently in and she notices, the photographer loses. This process is repeated until a special turn - Photo Time (盗撮タイム, "peeping time"). During it, every camera that was activated until that point takes a photo simultaneously: if a model gets photographed, she loses.
Before Round 1[]
Yukimi understood the rule and wanted to double check the stakes. If they win, Eneru can't change the club leader during the festival, and if they lose, there is no penalty. Eneru promises that she's okay with that. Yukimi is anxious about them having to strip and pictures of them being taken. She asks Eneru why she went that far. Eneru answers that it’ll give her money since there are freaks who’d pay any price to see their classmate all risqué. She’s the one giving pictures to them legally. Eneru then hugs Tsuzura and tells her she’s good and she’ll make sure her photos come out nice and pretty.
Yukimi pushes Eneru away from Tsuzura and doesn’t want to play this game. Eneru responds that she will run the Literary Club starting tomorrow and fire them on the spot. Yukimi finds this totally messed up. She wonders why trouble always comes knocking on their door, as she thinks about Aoi, Juraku, and Eneru.
