Nagi Kamishimo to Soutarou Ibuki

The Struggling Girls is the 43rd chapter of Kakegurui Twin, written by Homura Kawamoto and illustrated by Kei Saiki.

Summary[]

Mary doubts Soutarou and is wrong. Soutarou then successfully calls doubt on Nadeshiko. Yukimi realizes that Nagi is an even greater threat than Soutarou. Nagi doubts Kokoro without hesitation and is right. In the next game, Nagi rolls and says that he has a Little Max. Mary unsuccessfully doubts. It’s his third Little Max of the day. Yukimi is convinced that he’s cheating. She believes that Nagi’s method might be something as simple as setting up the dice to two and one, and moving the cup in a way the numbers won’t change. While it’s against the rules, he does it in a second while everyone is distracted by something else. Yukimi thinks that the only way to prevent this is to watch his every move constantly. Yukimi takes Tsuzura’s place.

In the following game, Nadeshiko doubts Mary and succeeds. Nagi wants to leave with Soutarou. Soutarou questions Nagi’s will to leave. Nagi tells him that Mary is at her limit. Nagi says that he’ll come back tomorrow. He asks Mary if she wants to join Full-Bloom. He adds that if Mary refuses, he’ll pick up where they left off tomorrow. Sachiko makes an announcement. She calls Nagi, Soutarou, and Mary to the Public Morals Committee office. They arrive. Sachiko wants them to gamble with Sakura. Nagi figures out that Sakura wants to stop the call to action as revenge against Aoi. Sachiko explains that Nagi and Soutarou want Mary, while Mary doesn’t want to join Full-Bloom and Sakura wants to stop the call to action. She wants them to settle this in a two-on-two match. Nagi tells Sachiko that they gain nothing from that, as he’s convinced they’ll get Mary.

Sakura wagers her seat as the Beautification Council leader, meaning that if Nagi and Soutarou win, they’ll have arresting rights within the school. Nagi accepts. He convinces Soutarou, who was doubtful at first, to accept. Nagi finds Soutarou easy to manipulate. Sakura tells Mary that she didn’t mean to drag her into this. It was Sachiko’s demand. She begs Mary to fight alongside her. Mary accepts. Sachiko explains that they’ll hold two different one-on-one matches. The players, bets, and games will all be decided randomly. So one might end up playing for the other’s bet. Sakura says to Mary that she’ll play with everything she has no matter which bet she plays for. Mary finds out that Sakura is trying to stop the call to action for Aoi’s sake. Sakura selects the cards deciding on the players, bets and games for everyone. Nagi and Soutarou don’t object.

Mary will play Full Count Blackjack against Nagi. Sakura will play Limit Dice against Soutarou.
