She’s forced out. Souko believes that the Jabamis are being ostracized from the family. She thinks it might be because her mother was a gambling addict.

Souko catches Ririka spying on her. She asks her if she’s Ririka or Kirari. Ririka tells her that any more prodding of her will lead to bad things. Souko doesn’t know whether Ririka is talking about her identity or about her mother. As Souko is about to leave, a woman wants to tell her something. She would feel bad not to tell this to Souko. She whispers to Souko about her aunt, Tsugiko. Meanwhile, Kabura is alone with Tsugiko. She wants to talk with her alone. She knows that Tsugiko knows who she is.

Kabura warns Tsugiko to not lie to her. She asks her if she wants to be the head of the Jabami family. That would mean all the money belongs to her. Kabura reminds her that Souko is in the way of that. Tsugiko slaps her, angry. She tells Kabura that she won’t betray her niece.

Kabura furiously reminds Tsugiko that she didn’t want any lie from her. Tsugiko had given Souko a wedding ring. Kabura asks her what she did with the engagement ring. That engagement ring is called the Snake-Eye Stone. It’s the Jabami family treasure. If Souko becomes the Jabami family head, the Snake-Eye stone will belong to her. Kabura believes that it would bother Tsugiko. Tsugiko panics and asks Kabura what she wants.
