The Targeted Girl is the eighteenth chapter of the fourth volume of Kakegurui written by Homura Kawamoto and illustrated by Tooru Naomura.

Summary

After Kirari Momobami left, Kaede Manyuda and Yumemi Yumemite are determined to take down Yumeko Jabami on their own.

Plot

Without the president, the student council is a house divided, with each person seeking something different. Kaede Manyuda then asks Sayaka where the president ran off to, to which she responded that she doesn't know. Kaede then proposes that they make their move on Yumeko without the president, but Midari Ikishima and Yuriko Nishinotouin say that Yumeko is strong and that they should wait. Yumemi then says to them that she will take down Yumeko herself, and Kaede offers to help her.

Elsewhere, Yumeko, Ryota, and Mary Saotome are discussing the president's absence, until Itsuki Sumeragi enters, wanting to talk to Yumeko. Mary quickly points out that, because she was kicked off the Student Council, Itsuki was trying to get close to Yumeko. Itsuki explains that if she didn't get back on the council, she'd be disowned by her father, the owner of a multi-millionaire toy company, and also wanted to ask Yumeko that if she took over the president, if she would put her on the new Student Council. Yumeko tells Itsuki that she is among friends.

After Yumemi's concert, she holds a meet-and-greet with her fans, but after it's over she returns to her dressing room, washes her hands, and curses her fans, calling them 'pigs.' Her assistant, Saori, tells her that if she doesn't want to do the meet-and-greets anymore, she doesn't have to, but Yumemi insists on it, saying that she has to form a personal relationship with each fan so they continue to come see her shows. Yumemi then asks Saori when they plan to call out Yumeko, and Saori says that, due to Kaede's funding, they can as early as tomorrow. Yumemi says that she can't wait to make Yumeko gamble for her whole life.
