She answers saying that there is a lot of merit to not gambling, and that she doesn’t gamble for her own sake. A housepet asks Yumeko to gamble with her. Yumeko declines, but brings her somewhere to do something “even more fun than gambling.”

Horo Jomaru, a former contender who lost all of his votes against Kirari, walked in the classroom where Yumeko is. He tells her that he has heard a lot of rumors about her: The girl who suddenly arrived, and displayed a crazed obsession with taking any kind of gamble. Horo adds that he was shocked when he heard that Yumeko had the most votes. Horo brought ten votes, and wants to gamble against Yumeko. Yumeko turns down his invitation. The World-Destroying Girl (Part 2) is the second part of the 89th chapter of Kakegurui, written by Homura Kawamoto and illustrated by Toru Naomura.
Summary[]
The side bet that resulted in Kirari losing one hundred votes is explained. Mary and Ririka had a side bet about Mary starting a turn with one vote left. There were ninety-nine votes at stake. So, when Mary started the last round with one vote, ninety-nine votes were transferred from Ririka to her. She went all in, and Kirari called. That’s how Kirari lost all of these votes. Mary bets seventeen votes in the next round. Kirari understands that she won’t be able to read Mary’s gambling patterns anymore. Mary tells her that they didn’t only have one side bet going on. Kirari folds. Mary’s confidence goes up, and she believes that she’s going to guarantee her victory.
Kirari had stripped Kaede of his accountant position, but didn’t find a new one. So, Kaede can still act as one. He reveals to Sayaka that there is an underground safe containing assets with a value of 300 billion yen that can be used to keep the current council going. Kaede plans to buy all the votes of people outside of Yumeko, Kirari, Mary, and Ririka. If they can pull this off, they’ll win the elections.
Plot[]
Change Poker Game[]
Mary explains that whoever wins the game of Change Poker will take a dominating lead in the election. She adds that Kirari has superhuman reads, and that when Ririka said she’d become Kirari, it was as if they fully knew each other’s hands.
Mary yells that Kirari and Ririka are two different people. Kirari turns to Runa, and asks her what happened[1]. Mary and Ririka had a side bet about Mary starting a turn with one vote left. There were ninety-nine votes at stake. So, when Mary started the last round with one vote, ninety-nine votes were transferred from Ririka to her[2]. Mary tells Kirari that if she thinks she’s the same person as Ririka, she’ll lose.
The next round starts, and Mary bets seventeen votes. Kirari understands that Mary is up to something. Kirari explains that she could completely read Mary because of her betting patterns. She’s about to say what Mary is after, but Mary immediately goes all in. Mary says that this wasn’t the only side bet she had going on with Ririka. Kirari folds. Mary smiles, as this was part of her plan.
Mary is getting more confident. Kirari declares that only luck and guts will matter, as they won't be able to read each other anymore. She adds that this is a purer gamble than what they had. Kirari is fascinated by this. Mary tells herself that this wasn’t her only strategy. She also says that she’s going to guarantee her victory.
Student Council Accounting[]
Kaede tells Sayaka that he has met with Yumeko. He admits that he was trying to gamble with Yumeko, but she had declined the invite, saying that she was never going to gamble again. This scares Kaede. He thinks that it’ll be the end of Hyakkaou Academy if Yumeko becomes its president. Kaede has no clue what Yumeko is thinking right now.
Kaede tells Sayaka that Kirari had stripped him of his accountant position, but that she hasn’t picked a new one. So, he still has all the rights that this post offers. Despite her secretary position, Sayaka didn’t know the accountant’s greatest power. It is to manage the assets of the council that are kept in an underground safe. The total value of these assets is 300 billion yen[3]. Sayaka is astonished by this.
Kaede tells her that he can’t use that as he wishes. He can only use all of this to keep the current council going. Kaede plans to buy all the votes of people outside of Yumeko, Kirari, Mary, and Ririka. If they can pull this off, they’ll win the elections.
