Tomu Inuhachi is a new character introduced in the live-action movie, as well as Kakegurui Joker. She's played by Marika Itou.
Appearance[]
Tomu has a rather androgynous appearance. She has short brown hair and straight bangs. She wears a purple coat over her uniform, rolled up pants instead of the usual skirt, and black boots. She also wears her asthma inhaler around her neck.
In Kakegurui Joker, she appears very different. She looks more feminine as she wears the female uniform. Tomu also has parted bangs and two pigtails for which she uses dog pins. She also seems to be wearing a dog collar. She has checkered stockings and wears big boots.
Personality[]
During the events of Kakegurui Joker, Tomu seems to be very upbeat and cheerful. She must also love dogs.
Tomu getting angry
In the live action version, however, she is a little different. She's less childish and cheerful, although she occasionally gets overexcited. She tends to scream a lot, especially if she's angry, and is not afraid to fight. Her friends are mostly guys.
Sometimes she has to use her asthma inhaler.
Etymology[]
- "Inuhachi" is written with the kanji for "dog" and "eight." This refers to her love of dogs in the light novel.
- "Tomu" is written as "ten" and "dream."
